Information for Oral & Poster Presenters of the Sixteenth Tennessee Water Resources Symposium

 

ABSTRACT DEADLINE:
October 14, 2005

Abstracts for consideration for presentation at the Sixteenth Tennessee Water Resources Symposium will be accepted through October 14, 2005. Abstracts must not exceed 250 words or a single page and must address water-resource issues (click here for topic list) relevant to the Southeast Region. Abstracts must conform to the formatting requirements outlined below:

TITLE: ALL CAPS, ARIAL, 12point, BOLD, CENTERED, SINGLE SPACED

We accept papers from a wide variety of water-resource topics. Below are examples of topics from past Symposia:

ABSTRACT NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTANCE:
November 1, 2005

 

 

 

GUIDELINES FOR ACCEPTED ORAL PRESENTATION ABSTRACTS:

  • Limited to a 20-minute talk with 10-minute question-and-answer session. 

  • Acceptance requires preparation and submittal of paper limited to 4 pages with 2 additional pages of illustrations. Your paper will be published in the proceedings of the symposium and must comply with submission guidelines. 

  • Detailed instructions for submitting papers, including an example, will be provided online at a future date.

GUIDELINES FOR ACCEPTED POSTER PRESENTATION ABSTRACTS:

  • Poster session limited to 20 student and 10 professional posters due to space limitations. 

  • Selection will be based on quality and content of abstracts. 

  • Posters should be mounted on poster-board no larger than 3’x5’

  • All posters must be displayed by 8:00 a.m. Thursday, April 20. 

  • Presenters of student posters are required to give a brief synopsis (5 minutes or less) of their poster to poster judges during Poster Session at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, April 20

  • Easels will be provided.

  • An award for the best student poster will be presented at the annual TN Chapter Meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 20.

 

ALL PRESENTERS MUST REGISTER FOR SYMPOSIUM BY:
February 24, 2006.  Registration fee for presenters is $100 (students $30).
