ABSTRACT DEADLINE (Speaker and Poster):
December 31, 2014

Abstracts for consideration for presentation at the 23rd Tennessee Water Resources Symposium will be accepted through December 31, 2014. Abstracts should not exceed 250 words and must address water-resource issues relevant to the Southeast Region. Abstracts must conform to the formatting requirements outlined below:

1) Fill Out the Online Application and Upload Abstract

(Abstract example in Microsoft Word) -this is an example of an extended abstract. The format is the same for both abstracts being submitted for consideration and extended abstracts with the exception that the extended abstracts are not limited to 250 words.

GUIDELINES FOR ACCEPTED ORAL PRESENTATION ABSTRACTS:

  • Limited to a 20-minute talk with 10-minute question-and-answer session. 

  • Preparation and submittal of an extended abstract including color illustrations is encouraged. Your paper will be published in the online Proceedings.

  • Format for extended abstracts are the same as above. No length limit.

GUIDELINES FOR ACCEPTED POSTER PRESENTATION ABSTRACTS:

  • Poster session limited to 20 student and 10 professional posters due to space limitations. 
  • Selection will be based on quality and content of abstracts. 
  • Posters should be mounted on poster-board no larger than 3’x5’
  • All posters must be displayed by 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 2. 
  • Presenters of student posters are required to be with their poster during poster session times and give a brief synopsis (5 minutes or less) of their poster to poster judges and attendees during Poster Sessions at 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and 3:00-3:30 p.m. on April 2. If they are not with their poster when the judges and attendess come by, they won't be considered for poster awards.
  • Easels will be provided at the Registration Desk and they must be returned when you take down your poster after the business meeting on April 2.
  • Awards for the best student posters and People's Choice will be presented at the annual TN Chapter Meeting at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 2.

March 15, 2015.  Registration fee for presenters is $100 (students $30).
