2018 Poster Presentations

Please be sure to attend the Poster Sessions on April 12, 2018, Thursday (10:00 a.m-12:00pm and 5:15 p.m.-5:45 p.m.) in the Mezzanine where a maximum of 20 student and 5 professional posters will be presented.

Information for Poster Presenters:

  • Click Here to Submit Your Abstract
  • Posters should be mounted on poster-board no larger than 30"x40" Poster board will be supplied by TNAWRA.
  • Easels will be provided at the Registration Desk and they must be returned when you take down your poster after the business meeting on April 12.
  • Poster must include an abstract.
  • All posters must be displayed by 9:30am on Thursday and remain in place until 6:00 p.m.
  • Presenters must be present during poster sessions and be prepared to give a brief synopsis (5 minutes or less) to the poster judges.
  • Poster sessions are: 10:00am-12:00pm / 5:15-5:45pm
  • Please move your poster to the front of Rooms A&B at 6:00 p.m. for dinner and the meeting. Please stay for the Poster Awards at the meeting at 7:00 p.m.
  • Awards for the best student posters and People's Choice will be presented at the annual TNAWRA Chapter Meeting at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 12.
  • After the TNAWRA Chapter Meeting, please fold your easel up and take to the Registration desk.

Judging of Student Posters: Posters will be judged by 3 to 5 professionals from various backgrounds who are attending the Symposium. Posters are given scores for each of the following categories: Abstract, presentation of the material, technical content of the poster, topic originality and format/style. If you are not affiliated with a university or a student poster presenter and would like to be a judge, please send email to Daniel Saint or Dana Waits.

Awards for Student Posters:To encourage student participation, TN Section AWRA gives awards and certificates for best student poster in each category of High School, Undergraduate & Graduate. The Attendees will also vote for a "People's Choice Poster Award".
